STEP 1: ALKALINE
WASH IN HOT SOLUTION Up to four bottles (may be different sizes) can be washed
at once. The dirty bottles are placed with the bottle-mouth
down onto the wash valves where they are held in position with
side-holders adjusted to the bottle type throughout the wash
process. STEP2: RINSING WITH COLD WATER Up to four bottles may be rinsed at once. For this, the bottles
are removed manually from the wash valves and placed into the
bottle rack. Here, too, the bottles are placed into the machine
with the opening downdard.
When the lid (a clear plastic sheet in a stainless steel frame)
is closed to the caustic pump starts automatically. The hot
caustic (the temperature of which may be pre-selected in the
switch cabinet) is sprayed under pressure to the inside and
outside of the bottles. This results in a double cleansing:
chemically (through the hot caustic) and mechanically (through
the high pressure).
The process is automatically terminated by the setting of a
timer or by opening the lid.
The cleansing solution is pumped in a closed cycle. All necessary
elements are integrated into the machine: solution container,
temperature sensor with temperature controller and electrical
heating element.
With closure of the machine lid a switch activates the water
spray. The bottles are thoroughly rinsed inside and out.
The rinsing time is selected - depending on the desired rinse
intensity - by the machine operator. The rinsing process is
stopped automatically by opening the lid.
Bottles may be washed with caustic and rinsed at the same time.
The machine capacity varies between 200 and 500 bottles per
hour, depending on the degree of dirt and the size of the bottles.
The entire structure is made of stainless steel.
